Veteran Posts: 194 Location: Utah | I foolishly bought their (classicparts4u) floorpans, which was a waste of money. You are smart to stay away. There is another thread where a guy tried their rear QP's on his 300, but ended up needing metal from a parts car anyway. At this time I think that is your best bet, search the salvage yards. There is another guy that makes floor pans that looked really good. I can't seem to find his info at the moment. Maybe he could be convinced to make some QP skins.

Expert Posts: 1488 Location: Florida | Yup, that was me who ended up using metal from a parts car for my 300. Someone had already butchered my Texas '57 Saratoga 4-door hardtop parts car by cutting the top off, but I still didn't like cutting into the quarters - especially after forking out $350 for the pair of new quarters from "Classicparts4u". My recommendation is to stay away from them and keep looking for an unwanted parts car - they do show up from time to time - mine was a no-sale eBay listing at $500 (plus another $1000 to get it home to south Florida - including one-way airfare, a Ryder truck, used tires, a trip to Harbor Freight--tow bar, trailer lights, etc-- tolls and gasoline).

Extreme Veteran Posts: 369 Location: buchanan,Ga. | The rockers i got for my car i obtain from (scopan) ...they were pretty good they had the rt. curved face to them that spme don't have....my set got banged up in the mail a little bit but i just worked them out -welded them in....the front fender lower rear sec i bought the driver's side and had to graph metal into it to make it fit rt....so i just fab my own for the other side...but i got that pan . from someone else off of e bay ...the headlight brows were not in too bad of shape so i just fitted in new metal there ...working with flat metal usually takes me about 4 to 6 hours to cut shape and start the fit of it to the car....but sometimes your better off doing it this way plus it save you a lot of bucks too!!

Cheap b-flute wrap was all that he (scopan) used as packaging material. My packaging was shredded when it arrived and the rockers had a few dings and bent corners. We should let mr. scopan know....

Expert Posts: 1488 Location: Florida | I'm pretty certain these vendors of "reproduction" sheetmetal have NO clue that their stuff is NORMALLY arriving at its destination with moderate to heavy damage. It's bad enough there are inaccuracies in the shaping of the panels, but then UPS, Fedex or the USPS adds their additional bends. As far as the rockers go, I haven't seen any reproductions with the proper drain holes. Anyone?

Extreme Veteran Posts: 369 Location: buchanan,Ga. | I do know where a total rear clip is for a 57-58 new yorker .But if came from a four door car..it's pretty solid but i don't know if that will work for repairing a 2 door car...it was cut rt. at the rocker-dog leg sec. it has the whole trunk floor still in it too which is solid also...very little rot on the very lower rear quarter sec. rt by the bumper mounting...wheel lip\flange areas very good. let me know if this could help you out...

Expert ,, George Passed away July 28th 2021, He will be Missed Posts: 1295 Location: Twin Falls, Idaho | I had a pair of the lower rear quarters that were made for the Chrysler 300 Club International by Metal Crafters a few years ago for one of my 57 300's and I compared them to the ones by carparts4u and they match virtually perfectly. They are a little thinner metal than the originals and the ones the 300 Club had made but as far as fit goes, they do fit very well. I would buy and use them again from carparts4u. George

Expert Posts: 1488 Location: Florida | George - that's interesting about your comparision to the Metalcrafters quarters. I know from Dave Schwandt's photos of installing the Metalcrafters quarters on his 300-C, that they needed some massaging to fit properly - http://www.chrysler300club.com/tech/schwandt/schwandt.html The body guy who is doing my 300-D told me that the wheelwell lip on the "classicparts4u" was not shaped as the original ones, and that it would have taken a fair amount of work to make them correct. That's why I acquired the parts car and used its quarters. John Edited by Chopper John 2008-07-18 5:04 PM
