| Took my '58 Suburban to a show. Backing out of the parking spot, the oil light stayed on and gauge read ZERO!
Did I damage the engine? Check out the videos for my preliminary diagnosis .

Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Depending on how long you ran the engine. Damage is done as soon the oil pressure takes a leave..... |

If you were just backing up, noticed it, and then shut it down, 99% chance it is ok. Every time you start your car it has zero oil pressure and takes a few seconds to build up.
If it happened to me that way, I'd just slip a new oil pump shaft in it and go grocery shopping. |
