Here are links to 2 of our website's Tech Dept pieces on F/G plug wires.

 

The first link is a photo presentation on an old motor, by our late Club members John Hertog and Gil Cunningham. At the end of this piece is the ordering information for plug wire sets from Lectric Limited, recommended by Gil, located near me. These are the wires I've been running on my F. 7 of these wires have 90-degree spark plug ends, and #3 wire has a 135-degree spark plug end. Refer to the attached scan of the insert that Lectric includes with each of its ram plug wire sets

Then there's this YouTube video by Bob Merritt. You'll notice Bob purchased his wires set from a different vendor. Looking at the video, you'll see that 3 or 4 of his wires have nearly straight ends.

Final comment - make sure you have the heat shields that bolt behind the exhaust manifolds, located between cylinders #3/5 and #6/8. These are critical to protect the wires from being fried by the exhaust heat.

I’m routing my NOS plug wires and there are very good instructions out there. But I recall someone mentioning that two of the plugs get straight boots rather than angled boots. I think one was cylinder 6, but I don’t remember which is the other cylinder. It’s a fairly short wire.
