I saw a 1955 C300 two page color brochure at a swap meet today. The seller said it was very rare and he is asking $75. Is anyone interested?

To All,
Speaking of color brochures, I stopped at my local Chrysler dealership
yesterday and picked up a very nicely done large brochure on the next generation 300
Series Hemi sedan. I know, it may not be a real 300 but at least it got a
Hemi!

Subject: My C300

Still haven't gotten a decent offer for my car. Just had it reappraised again and
the fellow said it's worth anywhere from 15-to-18 thousand. That's less than what
my first appraiser said and way less than what the 300 club members told me it's
worth. I need to get it sold so the first person to come up with a reasonable offer
can have it. As I said before, I've had it mechanically rebuilt from the water pump
through the driveshaft. The engine only has about 5,500 miles on it since the complete
rebuild and the trans was rebuilt in August and has less than two-hundred miles on
it. I've put right around $17,000 into mechanical work and another $500 into the radial
WWWs. The carbs, water pump, starter, power steering pump, power brake booster,
generator, driveshaft, and the complete brake system have been redone. I've also had
the horn ring and speedometer redone. If any of you can pass this on to the other 300
club I'd appreciate it. I need the money otherwise there's no way I'd sell that car.
Those prices that I've mentioned do not include what I originally paid for the car. My
total investment into it is in the mid-$20,000 range.

Subject: G Lower Radiator Hose

Good Evening,

I installed a NAPA universal lower radiator hose (#745) this afternoon
and am not happy with how close it is to the oil filter. Is there a
molded hose available? I assume that any big block land yacht with the
water inlet on the left side would work. I don't have the time to fish
through hose inventories and we seem to have a rapidly dwindling supply
of parts people who neither know what is going on or care.

Best regards,

Richard Osborne

Hello all, I am in the starting phases of a restoration project
which will take some time providing I can locate some of the missing
pieces to put it back together. If anyone has any 1963 300J parts or
pieces that may aid me in this project, please email me with a list.
I am not sure as of yet what the total pieces I may need but I can
start with a pair of bucket seats and drivers door panel in red
preferably. Also a front bumper would help. More parts surely to
follow. Thanks, Keith

For sway bars, you could also contact John Carlson of Saner Performance Fabrication, Port St. Lucie, Florida. www.sanerperffab.com , PH-772-873-9222,FAX-772-873-9228. John worked for Addco for 15+ years until they moved out of Florida.

John has custom-made a few stabilizer bars (A.K.A. sway bars, anti-sway bars, anti-roll bars, etc.) over the years for club members. I have front & rear bars on my '64 Newport Convertible he installed last year. Though they will not slip by a knowledgeable judge, they are very well-made. For the safety-conscious who drive the bejeezus out of their old car like I do, you will benefit from the upgraded handling. The difference after installation is like night & day.

The rear bar involves drilling four holes in the unibody for the mounts. The front bar, John's own design, uses Chrysler's sway bar mounting brackets (found also on any wagon and some New Yorkers, but not likely on your 360HP 300K) plus a secondary bracket John makes. I'm sure he could fabricate a full set of brackets as well.

Do be patient--at my last visit, John was a one-man operation, and he may not get back to you right away. My mother lives 5 minutes away from John Carlson's shop, so I could forward questions, etc., in person when I am at her house on my weekly visit.

Regards,
John Spiers

Has any one used 440 HP exhaust manafolds on a 64 300 if so which manifold works on the driver side if any. Passanger sides, I understand were all the same. This car has standard suspension with out a sway bar I have the 7 leaf springs from Eaton and the heavy torsion bars only missing the sway bar to upgrade the handling. Any ideas other they junk yards?
