[Chrysler300] Power Window Wire Looms on C

Hello 300'ly to all!
        I just spent 45 minutes replacing the power window wire looms and
grommets on my C WITHOUT having to take the door apart nor disconnect the
window switches or the power window wiring!  This activity cost less than
$25 for BOTH doors and the parts were all readily available at local
parts stores.  Of course these replacements won't prevent you from
getting points deducted at a Concours 300 Club meet, but it was fun and
looks very neat and functional.  Here goes (not to be confused with
Goers): - 3/4" black plastic slitted corregated wire loom - about 14"
works great especially since the material memory is strong to replace the
rubber tubing
               -use MTM #42324 PCV grommet for the hole on the front of
the door - slit it at one area and cut out 1/8" and it fits real tight
               -use MTM #42059 PCV grommet for the hole in the front
fender - slit at one area and cut out 1/8" and it fits real tight 
               -then slip the black plastic wire loom over the wire and
snug it in the PCV grommets at each end
        Now if you don't have any rubber grommets around the perimeter of
the door detent brace, here goers:
               -use MTM #42069 Master Cylinder gasket and cut the upper
rectangular section apart from the rest of the gasket so as to leave a
1/2" lip, then cut one side to just fit snuggly under the weatherstrip
and make a slit across the oblong rubber dome and slide across the door
detent brace and affix with super glue.  Then tuck the slit domed rubber
in the door around the brace and you have a professional appearing and
functional water/debris barrier for your front door.  The wire loom and
MTM parts were obtained at O'Reilly Auto Parts and are readily available
at AutoZone and most other parts stores that carry MTM products (HELP is
the first thing that catches your attention on the cardboard part of the
packaging). If the metal body grommet is present on the front fender it
serves well and you can forego the MTM #42059 PCV grommet and likewise if
you have the front door rubber grommet you can do without the MTM #42324.
Of course Gary Goers has these rubber grommets and the wire tubes
available, however one has to dissamble the door and the switch and
possibly disconnect the wires from the harness by the kick panel and slip
these over. Plus there is the possible WAIT.   300'ly,  ROB KERN
