Paxtons are not huge compression makers.  They add a small boost not requiring a lowering of compression through piston or head changes.  For example, the Studebaker Avanti Paxton-supercharged motors of the same era were, as far as I know, simply a factory addition.  They did, however, change the cam for an "R-2" Avanti.

      How do you put superchargers on a 10.1 to 1 compression ratio and not blow the bottom out of your engine?  Did the supercharger option come with a lower compression ration motor?
