Re: [Chrysler300] Dome light 300F

Both the 1960 wiring diagram and the Owner's Manual (glove box manual) agree
that the dome lights do not come on when the front doors are opened. If the
car is a four door, and equipped with the rear door switches, then the dome
lamps will come on when the REAR doors are opened. So, in our 300F hardtops, the
dome lights are only activated by the dome lamp switch on the instrument
panel. I do not know the rational here, as it would seem convenient to have
overhead light when entering the rear passenger area in the dark. Such was not the
case, however. Hope this helps out. 300ly, Gil C.
