RE: [Chrysler300] carter carbs

Dan and all:

First, the obligatory reference to our 300 letter cars. Please, NEVER -
NEVER - EVER consider doing this to a real Chrysler 300 letter car.

The photo of the Short Ram EFI setup can be found at the Rance EFI site:
http://www.rancefi.com/

You can find the photo by clicking on the MOPAR selection under MANIFOLD
TYPES and scroll down to the Short Ram setup. It's too bad he had to
machine that nice set of Short Rams for the direct port injectors. If I did
it, I wouldn't butcher the manifolds.

I would love to do a setup myself but just never had the budget to play
with, nor the time. But someday, I would like to try it, if only to "Play
with the bits" to see what happens to performance as well as economy and
driveability. I wouldn't want to butcher up a real letter car with such a
project but it would make for a nice "road trip" vehicle or even a daily
driver.

I firmly believe that you can get more raw power from a single or dual quad
carburetor setup but if you want driveability under ALL road conditions,
sequential / multiport EFI is the answer. But it would be VERY expensive to
do it right.

Let me know it anyone else gets the itch to try it someday. I have quite a
few ideas for implementation.

I think fuel injection (one injector per ram tube) would look way cool, but
I'm not the one to do it.
Imagine, no carbs at all, just injectors installed in each ram tube?

Hi John and all:

A while back I found the web site of a company in north central Pennsylvania

that did just that on a set of long rams. Forgot to archive it. Has anyone

else seen this site and, if so, do you have the URL?
