my c300 purchased from original owner  in 1974 with  10, 000 miles, didnt 
start good then , and still doest start good when hot. lowered the float 
level atad installed new points, and condenser two years ago  , you need 
good battery, installed split fire plugs for the hemi. cold my c300 starts 
as fast as you can crank it.  i ,found it best to crank it it at at half 
throttle. good luck c300 ron
