That would be really bad and upsetting?  But, after I put the belts back on I was able to drive the hour home ok with the compressor pulley spinning freely, though I did not have the compressor turned on...so I will check in the morning.

Hi Matt,
I think you ran low on "freon" with carries the compressor oil and seized
the compressor due to lack of lubricant.. You have a leak in the system.
