Regarding original Chryslers and the door hardware.   I have a 1961 Newport 
2 door hardtop that was assembled at Jefferson Ave.  The order date is 
05-01, shipping date is 04-21, the engine stamp date is 4-14, and the serial 
number is 8113176736 so it is late in the manufacturing year.   The car is 
comnpletely original, has always been in our family, and has never been 
repainted.   The door hinges, door latches, and striker plate and hardware 
are all painted the body color of white.
