I think they should at least try and wipe off the cosmoline(?) coating to see the actual condition of the chrome and metal underneath.  After all, they did take off the car cover, so why not the rest of the 'artificial' covering?

Regarding the entombed 57 Plymouth ...
I see no reason to hear of another restored 57 Belvedere.
When you can examine what mother nature's 50 years and man's naivety has 
created ???
