The product is called "Moretite" made by 3M Co. Comes in strips, black or grey. Simular material used by the factory. Available in most hardware stores and Carquest Auto. Have used it to seal fibreglass heater pleniums, body molding clips, grille emblems. Product never seems to dry out.  Have used it to repair '57 gauges and '55 gauges (plastic lenses).
