Re: John Spiers' request for input as to whether a 4speed F was at a Pasadena Chrysler dealership, some comments.
The mule test car, which was Toreador Red (people often forget colors over decades) was owned in South Pasadena by the Miller family.  I would assume it came through a Pasadena area dealer.
Harger Haldeman on Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles had a white F 4speed in the dealership - whether on display or for service I don't know.  
I'm getting the picture over years of stories, that there was a white F Special that toured big dealerships on the west coast because I also spoke with a man who said he had been in zone new car distribution around San Francisco and had a white F Spl to drive for a month.
