Hi Ken and All:
#1. Both my "H" and "F" converts have the plywood seat back screwed to the
metal crossmember. Since I have had the "F" apart most recently, I clearly
remember four screws for it. I am not sure why you wouldn't find any screw
holes. The board traps the rear quarter inner trim panel (the one with the
arm rests) on both sides. I think the outer of the four board retaining screws
may go thru both, but don't quite remember.
#2 The boot cover utilizes an extruded aluminum channel that is attached to
the plywood rear surface with 8 tiny countersunk head screws. It is located
roughly 1 7/8 inches below the upper edge of the plywood at its centerline.
Your plywood should show evidence of this for location. On the 300H this
surface is vinyl covered. On the "F" it is bare black painted plywood below
the channel (kind of ugly). I am not familiar with the sport 300 boot front
attachment, but from what I can gather out of the parts book, all Chrysler
converts used the same. They list a "large insert" channel as 2160 567 and a
"small insert" one as 2410 007. I don't know the difference. My "H" and "F"
are the same. Unfortunately, I have no extras. Sorry!

edge, or a horizontal alum strip similar to the 62-300 sport (and
earlier non 300 converts?) converts? If the sport 300 type alum
(channel shape) strip is what's used - dose some one have one to sell
or an idea of a substitute?
