Re: [Chrysler300] 300F question !!!!!

Hi Charlie:
The 300F has a modification of the "gear" type wheelcover medallion and
base----along the same idea as the 300G and H---between the seats. In other
words, same basic shape as its wheelcover center, but very much thinner. The
same plastic medallion is used as in the wheelcover. Under this "gear" and
medallion is a round flat base, bright plated. I imagine someone, long ago
replaced the correct rear seat medallion with what you describe. From your
description, it kind of sounds like a 57 to 61 side medallion without the letter is
being used. Those were available from service. (I purchased a couple for my
300C in the early/mid '60s, and was surprised---and disappointed---they did
not have the letter "C" on them.)

Hi everyone,
I was at a friends house today to start getting a 440 engine. He has a 300F,
owned it since about 1967 or 68 and the car has about 30 something thousand
miles on it. It's been in the garage since he owned it...collecting the usual
things. What should be between the two rear bucket seats? Should it be a
center from the wheelcovers? Anyway between his rear seats it looks to be very
similar to a 62 300 sport side emblem but with raised 300 numbers. He says
thats the way it was when he got the car . Did they come both ways ?
