[Chrysler300] difficulty of dealing at distances

The ebay item I referred to yesterday is listed now as sold, and as all I wished to do was make any potential buyer aware of the problems I had, I see no point in using more site space on the matter beyond saying obviously there is the odd deal that does not go as both/either side planned?!

As a totally removed example, I recently bought on ebay a 1957 Chrysler interior door handle from an ebay seller who always seemed to have excellent late 50s Chrysler items, excellent feedback. It was listed as excellent condition, but only showed two side.shots, neither of them the side/top, you would see once it fitted in car. When it arrived, it had one large broken raised pit, plus smaller ones, right where most noticeable - it was far from 'excellent'. When I contacted the seller, he belatedly replied/said if I paid mailing costs, returned it, he would refund item price - in other words I lose money because he not only did not list item as it was, but also (oddly/deliberately??!) had also not shown the most important side? It is not only a money thing, but surely also there is principle/fairness involved? And he had refused to ship by usual cheaper means, but by a way more expensive USPS type/rate - so I was a double loser, this before any principle.

I would like to think if there was any error on his part, or others who others have had known/shown excellent/good dealings with, it has been out of character, a glitch. Being overseas, and a long way away, plus time and other differences maybe do not help.

I get caught maybe 1 in 10 (re listing accuracy) re s/hand Ebay purchases, (this re about 250 purchases over last few years), be they 300ly, or my other marques - I do not know how that compares re US buyers/300 members, but you just allow for the losses as against the ones where you win.
And if things do not go as planned, sometimes communicating via emails creates misunderstanding, or just a desire by one side to not spend any more time on things?!

Others comment if you wish, I have said/had enough - our 300s always can cheer us up, make us grateful of our ownership/use on odd days where things may have not gone as well as hoped.
