The rubber mat was black, not gray. The main part was a ribbed pattern.
The ribs were approximately 7/32" wide. That area was surrounded by a rough
textured strip and then there was a smooth strip for the outside border. I
constructed a rubber mat based on pieces of an original mat I had found. If
anyone wants a picture I can email one to you.

I didn't think the rubber mat was Black but Gray. Mike Myers would know for
sure.

Jim - Justg cleaning out old email. tI'm no expert on the H but did get
info on the trunk mat from others. The trunk used a black rubber mat. As
for the the back seat cardboard I can only say that the non letter 300's
did have the card board. The rough, unrestored, non runing, H hdt I had
a few years ago did not have the black card board because it had the
carpet covered fiber board. Of course it could have had one but with
the fiber board b eing in the identical place, I think the need for
additional piece of cardboard unecessary,

original (never apart). I'm trying to identify signs to verify this. Anybody have
any tips? Was the carpeting in the trunk black? Was there a cardboard
covering the back seats?
