RE: [Chrysler300] Gold air cleaner paint

If you look at the old pictures of original C300s and 300Bs, the 452 gold is too gold. If you clear coat the 452, it looks as close as possible to me plus you get the added durability the clear coat gives you.

There is also an issue of gloss level. Shiny wet may look better, but no
more than semi-gloss may be more correct. Mine were redone by others and
are pretty flat. Judges: any demerits one way or another? I've seen
powder coated air cleaners and valve covers and that makes sense. OK with
the judges?

All -

Please be sure to reply to the list on this one, as I am interested as well.
Also, is the gold color the same on the 57 air cleaner housings as on the 58
thru 62 ovals ?

Thanks,

Ron

fingertips the paint formulation or recommended pre-mixed can color for the
gold oval air cleaners like on a 300E. I have a friend that needs it to
finish his air cleaners.
