[Chrysler300] 300C Oval Air Filter depth

There is an original gold 300C Aircleaner amongst stuff piled up next to my PC -it has what looks like pretty original old element in it - just over 3 and half inches deep, and that spaces lid just past end of housing it all sits in - looks pretty right/correct.  And new element bought from US, measures near the same.  I'd agree these elements are for 300C era, not later F, if it takes narrower ones?
