Re: [Chrysler300] 413 Ram Air Filters

Mike. and all..Here's a response from K&N that I received about an hour after I sent them the email...Whether they do anything about it is another story.

Already done that. Long time ago. For some reason K&N seems to think they are the only ones that are correct and we have absolutely no idea what size our air filters should be. So don't expect any good response from them.

I just checked K&N and their 62 Chrysler oval air filter is the same as the WIX 42030. I sent K&N an email stating their info was incorrect. We'll see what happens.

    Bob and All,

I saved the boxes from my G hardtop for precisely this moment (well, that and for when I need more).

Hastings Part# AF-41 (came in my car when I bought it)

    and

Car Quest # 87054 (bought new a few years ago)

Haven't taken the air cleaner lids of the G convertible to see what is in it, but I think the above numbers should work provide several avenues.

I also checked a few years ago, I think K&N has a replacement for these as well. I understand that if your into numbers matching air in the tires that the K&N will not work for you. Just thought I would throw this out to the group.

    Michael,

I've been thinking the same thing myself, and just dug through my file of
old receipts to see what it is I have now on the car. I found an old Fram
#, CA-165PL, and went to the Fram site to check it out, but it is not
listed. I seem to remember that these were listed as fitting '70 something
Oldsmobile when I bought them years ago.

Does anyone have a current part number for an air filter to fit the 413
rams? I measured the height and it is 1-3/4" x 9-1/2" outside diameter.

Well, as long as we're on the subject of air filters, can anyone provide a
brand(s) and part number(s) for air filter elements for the RAM 413s?

I have not found an exact match yet...
