Meguiars has two different products for clear lenses, the first more
aggressive and the second more of a polish. They state it is for clear, but
easily took haze from 1955 taillights. Not too good on deeper scratches.
See: http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars1017.html
I got mine in an auto parts store. I also use it on plastic eyeglasses with
good results. You can see the effect of wiping clear plastic with a dry
cloth and a little dust on the glasses. Same deal for car lenses. All of
these products have mild to very mild abrasive in them. Used long enough,
the abrasive in toothpaste can wear down tooth enamel.
