RE: [Chrysler300] Brake Question, 300 G

Lauren,

It is possible for a flexible brake line to close up internally and keep the
brake on because it restricts fluid flow back towards the master cylinder.
If you have checked the linings and drums as others have mentioned and still
have not located the problem, consider replacing the flex lines.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Brake Question, 300 G

Brake Question on 300 G.

My Right Front Wheel ( Brake ) locks up on the 300 G.
It has been very Grabby since I Worked on the brakes 2 years ago.
Today I locked up in the driveway and that's where it is.

The brakes work fine in reverse ( backing up ).
Push the drive button, some times the car goes forward,
but today the right front just locked up on the car .
Lots of black tire marks on the drive way from
the tire just skidding on the black top.

Two years ago the brakes were disassembled.
everything cleaned up and reassembled.
The brake linings were good, the Drums were good,
the springs and other hardware were cleaned up.
I rebuilt the wheel cylinders ( 2 each front wheel )
Put in DOT 5 Brake fluid, (silicone).

I did NOT Replace the Brake hoses to the front wheels.

Question: Why is the right front locking up?

Could the brake hose be coming apart on the inside
of the hose, and not allowing the brake fluid flow correctly?

Should I put in NEW Wheel cylinders?

Could there be some binding in the "backing Plate"
or with some of the other Brake parts in the wheel?

300ly,
