Re: [Chrysler300] 300H models question?

Good question. I thought the offset ram was only offered on the 426 max wedge engines in 63-65 Dodge and Plymouth ???????????

Wasn't the "Ram Option" actually the 2 four barrels sitting at an offsett within
the valve covers ? I have always heard of this option but have never seen one.

Christopher. ...I'll take a stab at a couple of these questions. Please, anyone,
correct me if I make a mistake.

Standard motor in H was the 413 dual quad on inline manifold. The crossram was
an option that I think there were about 10 sold?
On the outside, only the wheel covers and the letter H on the trunk were the
difference from the sport. 4 bucket seats were always a standard item with any
letter car, the H was no exception. I don't know about the performance, but I
heard that the crossram gave about 20 more horsepower? That's about all I can
answer.

Can anyone out there give a quick rundown of what the 300 model range was in
1962 - ie what were standard motor specs, features of a 300H. There have been a
couple of coupes imported here recently,
1) so if they have 300H badges, (as factory), did that mean they have a 413, and
what was the go with ram manifolding and bucket seats with console? - ie were
ram setups and centre console standard on any 300H model, or were they by then
options you must order on any 300H to get them?
2) what was the weight, performance 0 to 60mph and top speed, and how much gain
was ram manifold setup over say single carb? Are they generally fast
er, easier
to drive, better to push hard for fun, than say 300F and Gs?

Christopher in Australia where across south of nation in many coastal parts
showers continue 6 days out of 7 for last near 2 months looking like good grain
crop season if this continues but key major supply dams still getting near total
empty and nation's biggest river looking like may stop come summer for first
time in like '100s years' if no one big rain this winter
