Does anyone know if the wiper motors for 60-64 are all the same? I think I have a bunch of them from 61 and 62 cars I have parted out over the years, but I couldn't even get $10 a piece for them at Carlisle last year. I'll have to go and double check to make sure I still have some of them and I could offer one up to help solve the problem.
I guess they didn't sell because people don't drive their 'babies' when there is a threat of rain? I try to not even wash my 61 as I fear it will begin rusting from the very act of aiming the hose at it! ;-)

As stated, remove power first and immediately. Then, any of the pivot
points, motor bearings, or gearbox may be the problem or it could just be
the cumulative drag of all of them is more than the motor can overpower.
Unless you know that the wiper motor and gearbox have been cleaned and
lubricated with fresh lubricants you should consider doing it. Sooner or
later it will be done and hopefully before permanent or more serious
damage has occurred. This task is necessary for all motors in the
vehicle. All the motors like heater, windows, rear defroster, starter,
antenna, etc. will eventually suffer the fate of the lubricant becoming
like molasses on a cold day.
