RE: [Chrysler300] u-joint problems / 57c

While studying the factory service manual for my 1955 C-300, I noticed that
the boot gizmo for the 300 is different than from the others--apparently due
to a heavier construction of the housing, pin and balls. This may be the
case for the '57, also???

I have a brand new one (boot gizmo) I bought from Goers for my F. Never
put it on as the drive shaft was converted to new Spicers on both ends. If

it is the same as the 57, it is yours for the asking. L Jett

the boot gizmo flew apart (it was a fakey joe affair).

is there a boot gizmo available?

is there a rebuild kit available for the u-joint in the front?

my mechanic buddy says it is ever so slightly loose.

is there any danger in driving (carefully) with no boot gizmo and ever
so slightly loose?

any advice on this project would be appreciated.
