[Chrysler300] vacuum advance 64 413

Who is the answer man on the distributor advances?  I figure the centrifugal weights work during acceleration, and possibly the vacuum unit moves the breaker plate during curb idle.
After checking the timing, I remembered to plug the advance hose from the carb,,,Vacuum was working on the rebuilt A.F.B. but, there was no increase at the damper to read on housing indicator and visual on timing tape.
The timing is set at 11 degrees, noted advance figures on tape were about 18 degrees, total of 29 d.    Since the vac. advance on dist. unit is not working, I plugged the hose to prevent vacuum leak.

Could the lack of vacuum advance be the last gremlin, as the engine still stumbles when the clutch is engaged?  I seem to remember the Autolite units had a removable nipple, and there was a spring that maybe regulated the movement of the diaphgram.
I seem to recall the vac. advance working, and there was no stumble when the clutch was released.  Seems it needs replacing
 Are these units still available?

                              thanks Gang.....Dave
