I am sorry to hear of his passing. 

It was not long ago Gilles corresponded with photos and the story of his restoration.

    Today I had a sad news, a long time french member Gilles Guinee passed away from a sudden heart attack ,he was less than 50.
  Gilles had a 300F he found in 1982 nearby his place in the west side of France.
  I met him about 20 years ago because I wanted to buy his car but he always refused to sell it. So instead of getting a car I got a friend. He was a very nice and friendly guy, his lifetime dream was to achieve the restoration of his 300F.
  He has never been daunted by the difficulties of such an extensive restoration project. By the beginning of this year he was very exited because a friend was helping him to have the car running and after all these years ,at last the D day seems to be closer.
  Unfortunately he will never have the luck to drive his cherised car before leaving.
  I will never forget the trip we made together to Goowood england where we were involved in the letter car parade on the race track. He was like a kid in a toy store.
  He is survived by 3 young children and his wife Karin.
