Re: [Chrysler300] fuel tank vent nipple



Years ago, on the advice of an old timer I used a 
bar of  yellow laundry soap to fix a leak in a 
gas tank on the very bottom. Cut up part of the 
bar into small pieces, made a thick paste of the 
soap and some water and pressed it on and let it 
dry.  It was supposed to be a temporary fix, but 
it was still there a couple of years later when 
the car was sold.  It had been through some 
serious puddles and splashings and never let 
go.  Not really recommending this, but it does work in an emergency.
