Re: [Chrysler300] Fuel tank vent nipple/ Thanks

Ken,

If it still leaks, I also recommend a bar of soup for a temp. fix.

Just rub the leak area with the bar - don't know why but it worked for me.

I used to cary a bar in my car tool box - will have to check and make sure that it is still there.

With Bob Merritt & Mike C. good results with J B Weld, I have the nipple back in the tank. Will let it cure for a least 24 hrs. before connecting. I will be using a longer hose with a loop so pressure is not placed on the nipple. Thanks for the help.

Time to get the old car out. My granddaughter ask last night to us my 65 300 conv to go to the Prom. Tank showed empty. Took it to town to get gas, still showed empty. Got under it to check ground to tank and found bottom of tank wet. I found the vent nipple to the tank, pulled out of the tank. Suggestions on how to fix without removing the tank and getting it done before friday night. Would J B Weld work?
