RE: [Chrysler300] Vibration Damper 300G

Since we’re on the subject of vibration dampers, what is the recommendation of the specific tool used to remove the damper? I know it is a puller, but I’d like to know more specifically what others have used, and where did you get it? I have several pullers and none seem to fit the application.

Matt,

The best advice I can give you is: Do not drive your car!! My harmonic balancer just failed and the imbalance created by that failure resulted in spun rod and main bearings, so I am having to rebuild a recently rebuilt engine.

There are folks that rebuild the balancers. Not sure at this time, but the club will adivse you.

Good Morning Fellow Members,

Last week I finally pulled the wraps off my "G" and drove it over to my home getting it ready for the season. When starting the car up I'm hearing a "clunking sound". Upon inspection (with my mechanic buddy) we determined that the vibration damper is loose/has play in it. What do I need to do to repair this? Where can I find a replacement part? Do any of you have one and would be willing to sell it?
Let me know, as always I appreciate your assistance on this matter.

Warm Regards,
Matt Ostrowski
