Re: [Chrysler300] Electric Fuel Pump

J C Whitney.com _www.jcwhitney.com_ (http://www.jcwhitney.com) has
universal electric fuel pumps in the pressure/volume you need for about $ 50.
Check with your local parts house, also.

If I remember correctly I think John Hertog used an inline electric pump
that was oem on an early 80's Subaru which was carbureted. I'll have to
do
a little research

High pressure pumps (which at the moment are the largest supply due to
modern fuel injection cars) require a pressure regulator and a by-pass
and/or
a supply back to the tank. This makes them and the use of a full time
pump
on our old cars with carbs (especially twin 4V carbs.) very risky. A
proper
5-6 # old type pump, if still available, are very expensive.

Anyone have a part number? Should I assume you've all chosen a low
pressure

pump of some type since there's no regulator? I've got a high press pump
on my Fueli K which I'd be afraid to put behind carbs... I think anything
more than 5-6 psi would blow the needles off their seats and overfill the
carbs
