[Chrysler300] Converting to Bendix brakes

Over the years I have heard of converting 300G Total Contact brakes with
later self adjusting Bendix type drums like those used on '63 and later
Chryslers. I have been in contact with another G owner that has done the
conversion, but he had to ream out his spindles, and it was not real
straightforward.

Has anyone done this conversion? What is the best year to look for a donor
car? Are you happy with the results?

I know many will say to go to disc brakes, but I don't want to rule out the
Bendix brakes as a less drastic option, so I would appreciate hearing from
persons in the know regarding this conversion.

Thanks!

Bob J
