Lets also strip all the addresses off the replies.
On My Mac, I can highlight the part of the email text I want to reply to and hit reply to, reply to all or forward.
When the new message comes up, it only has the highlighted text in it.

That eliminates all the chain of "forwarded from:" addresses.
How many jokes and such like do you get with 2 pages of forwarded from email addresses? 
I've had as high as 100 email addresses of people I didn't know, friends of friends of friends.

You can also remove your name from the cc: line, if you send yourself a copy because you are part of the group and will get it that way.
This eliminates getting 2 copies of any forwarded message to the group.
