Just getting around to your question.  I didn't see anyone else answer  it. 
 Yes, there is a rubber boot seal around the accelerator lever.   (It will 
do a nice job of keeping the water inside on those leaky  converts!)  Just 
kidding!   Actually, as probably someone has  already mentioned to you, Gary 
Goers is a source for them.  In my catalog,  it is number 263 in the 
interior section.  I was lucky to find an NOS one  from a dealer, but I am sure 
Gary's will work just fine.

see the  pavement. I can understand with the convertible where this may
