Hi Keith

That is what I thought, but if you read in the latest BRUTE FORCE where they are restoring a 300D they show the switch goes on the bottom & a steel line from the front outlet to junction on the frame

Also on the Club site for parts from NAPA they show a part# 27048 Master cylinder hose

The  picture below is  how mine is set up

Assuming the D is the same as a C, the switch absolutely goes on the front .
