Tom, I found same cracks in my PS gear boxes. I drilled 1/4" holes closed to the box where the casting is thicker, and bolted them to the tracks.

Good morning,

While servicing my seat on Friday, found out that even though it sort off worked, it is in a lot worse shape than what we anticipated. The passenger side trace was pretty much frozen, the middle cable is missing, but the worst of it is that both of the 'gearboxes' have extensive cracks in the bases of the housing where they bolt to the track. Since it is cast metal, not sure if it can be welded.
Just in case, are these available? Or is this a junkyard only type of an item?

Also, when I took them apart, 2 of the brass bushings that hold the 3 narrow gears centered are cracked and in several pieces. Are these available, or do I have to make them?

Does anybody have a set they could live without?

I think the cable shouldn't be a problem, I can always have one made if I don't find one.

Also, what other years, models would have this type of power seat setup?

Any help will be appreciated.
