Re: [Chrysler300] 62 Tires

Diamond Back will make any width whitewall you want and where you want it if you're willing to wait for them to be made. Ask to talk with the owner if you don't see what you want on their website or catalog.
Of note is their tires have all the outside tire names, etc removed so as to do the whitewall placement. I have a Diamond Back set made to my whitewall width specs on my '56 NYer Convert and like them. (Mine are Uniroyals made by Michelin purchased in '07)

Doug,
Check out Diamondback Tires in Conway, SC. www.dbtires.com or call 888-922-1642. They can supply you with the tires you're looking for. It is my understanding that early production 62's had the wider whitewall, and later ones had narrow whitewalls.

Subject: [Chrysler300] 62 Tires

Hi Group,

I just purchased a beautiful 1962 Chrysler 300 Sport Convertible!
Festival red, 413, red leather (Goers) seats, 15" wheels w/ H wheel covers, zero
ust, great chrome and stainless, great interior & highly optioned.
I would like to find 225/75R/15 tires with white walls that are close to the
riginal 1&1/8" width.
The closest that Coker or Lucas have are 1.6" wide.
I have also located some Cooper Tires that look ok, but are only 3/4" wide.

Any suggestions?
