RE: [Chrysler300] 1957 Taillight spacer color

1) Others in the US may know better/different, but on all 300C painted tailight metal base pieces that sit below the chrome pieces (and above the bumper when fitted to car), the horizontal area of the part is always body color same as the sides of the painnted piece - I bought many on ebay as part of old original unrestored tailights chasing good original chrome, plus my 3 300Cs had original, never repainted ones - they are I think always one same body color all over, never seen silver on top under the clear lens section.

2) gas line from pump to carb on 300Cs should always be steel - can supply photo if no one else can - from photo it pretty easy to work out where right angle bends are ?

Christopher Australia - parts north of here just had hottest daytime temps ever recorded since white men moved the former locals on/under - today here to be around 108 degrees, but we been lucky hot days like this, this summer real rare til now

And a tech question:

The top of the body color spacer between the bumper and the backup light lens - Does it remain body color even though it shows up through the lens, or is it supposed to be painted silver?

Thanks.
