[Chrysler300] Itty Bitty Oil Pressure Line for a '57 C

We have misplaced the little tube - at least I think there is supposed to be one - that runs from the block to the oil pressure gauge hose. Removed that thing practically a year and a half ago and I don't know what may have happened to it. As I recall it may have been kinda like a little piece of brake line - either brass, copper, or steel - that I recall as being about 8" long. I can make a new one, but I need to know how long it should be and what metal it's made of.

Can someone out there help with some info on that?

Thanks a pile.
