Re: [Chrysler300] Black Cars

Better! Ford put in the new owner’s packet a bottle of their endorsed clear coat polish in the new Thunderbirds sold in 2002. I used it for the first polish job I did on the car in 2006. I applied the Black Box January of this year and it is phenomenally better. Be careful not to apply it to any non-black painted area on the vehicle since the prep stage and carnauba polish stage contain black dye. Also wear gloves when applying both stages unless you want to dye your hands! Rob Kern

Guys:

Does this wax work as well on a modern paint job with a clear coat? For example, would I get the same great results on a 2008 Charger? It sounds like a great product.

Ditto Terry’s comment on Black Box! I used it on Marnie’s 2002 Black T-Bird and it gave it a shine like that seen under the lights at the high-end auctions! Rob Kern

For those of you who have black cars, and hate wax swirlls on the finish, I would like to recommend a Turtle Wax product, called Black Box. It's for black cars only, since it seems to have some black in the wax, and it's a pain in the butt to put on, but the finished wax job will blow you away. Also, it's not cheap, about $20 for the kit, but it will do your car twice. Tery McTaggart
