[Chrysler300] 1960 NY'r hard top loaded

Happy New Year gang!!!

Taking a little risk going off topic here but for someone considering a restoration of a highly optioned F and is missing a/c parts or other rare parts, this car might be just what is needed. It is a 60 New Yorker four door hard top (no post). It is a solid original car. What makes it special is that it was ordered with lots of options including power windows, air conditioning, etc. One of the things I believe is a great and rare NY’r option is the swivel front seats. I know those are always in high demand. It also has a perfect original dash pad and steering wheel (I know not correct for an F but there and excellent nonetheless).

The exterior is a bit rough..original paint with chips and surface rust. The car has been stored indoors so it is not a cancerous car. The headlight eye lid on the driver’s side has rust and repair. No other serious rust on the car. The floors are solid.

What makes this car special is the condition of the interior. The seats were covered from new in plastic. The plastic remains on the seats to this day. The interior is a time capsule. Even the dome light works. It is dirty but a great start for anyone needing a correct interior that is totally complete.

It has the original 413 V-8 and transmission. It runs and drives but has not travelled great distances in many years.

Always feel guilty talking about parting a car out but to take this car to anything but a low level driver would likely cost more than it is worth.

I will post all details and pictures either tonight or tomorrow on the Forward Look Forum.

A good friend owns the car. He is asking $7,500 and has about that in it. Any interest and I am happy to pass along his name and number to you.

I’ll end the way I started: Happy New Year!!!

Regards,

John
