Hi Joe,
I've seen new rods, springs and retainers listed for sale, but I can't remember where.
Perhaps someone else in the group knows the source.
After restoring the brakes on two H's and a Sport with 12" drums, I have the following suggestions:
1. After you turn the drums, arc the shoes to fit the drums.
2. If you are replacing or rebuilding the wheel and master cylinders, purge the lines and then use DOT-5 silicon brake fluid instead of the DOT-3.

Subject: [Chrysler300] 300H BRAKE PARTS
Hi group,
I'm working on the drum brakes on a 300H restoration. One of the previous owners removed the brake shoes along with most of the hardware and I'm trying to get them working again. I'm looking for the brake shoe hold down hardware; rods, springs, and retainers. It looks like both front and rear brakes are the same but 1962 is different from 63 and follow. Does anyone have an axle set? Or can someone point me to a salvage yard that might?
Thanks much.
