Hi David,
This happened to a friend who changed his email address, passwords, sent notices out and in general was in email uproar for weeks.

It happened to me, and I ignored it. Nothing adverse happened, and yes, a few friends got the note but they all realize it's a scam. 

I did change passwords, but I do that periodically anyway. I did not change email addresses, which you are not suggesting either.
