[Chrysler300] 300 Four Doors

In 1962 Chrysler came out with the 300 Sport series. To be the intermedit Chrysler. With Newport replacing the base Windsor and 300 Sports taking Newports place in the line up As always New Yorker was on top.
In 1962 1,801 four Door Sedans and 10,030 Hard top 300 Sports. 383
Newport 54,813 4dr sed and 8,712 4dr htps 361
New Yorker 12,056 4dr sed and 6,646 4dr htps. 413

10,000 Hard tops ment the 4dr 300 Sport was here to stay. I have heard that the options in the 62s were orderd most of the time so it rare to find a stripper 62 300 Sport.


In 1963 1.625 four door sedans and 9,915 hardtop 300 Sports. 383
Newport 49,067 4dr sed and 8,437 htps 361
New Yorker 14,884 4dr sed and 10,289 htp. 413

This was not a good year for Chrysler. So theres more of a chance you can get an odd ball 300 Sport. Maybe not a 300 but I think a 63 2dr Newport with a stick would be fun.

In 1964 N/A 4dr sed and 11,460 4dr htp 300s 383
Newport 55,957 4dr sed Mom and dads inc. and 9,710 4dr htp 361
New Yorker 15,443 4dr sed and 10,887 4dr htp 413

This was a better year for Mopar and 300s did almost the same numbers and the New Yorker. Later in the 60s this trend didnt let up.
I have seen a 63 300 4dr sed with every option but radio delete. Go figure?
So I guess it was a good idea to bring the 300 back as a 4dr. But there is no way ! I will call a 4dr a letter car.....
