John Hertog had a '61 (don't remember if it was a G or not) with the fins  
cut off.  If you remember, he sent out pictures of the car with  1, 2, 5, 
and more fins superimposed on the picture.  He wound up  putting the 2 fins 
back on and driving the car - I believe it may have  been the red convert .

I saw pictues of a 60/61 300 with the fins removed several years ago. I  
don't know if it was a news letter from one of the the 300 clubs or not. I do  
remember that I did not like it.
