Re: [Chrysler300] Fw: 1961 Chrysler 300G

Greetings - There is a very good summary of how these various scams work on the Cars On Line home page at
www.cars-on-line.com (scroll to the bottom of their home page). As Anthony points out, the cues are hotmail or gmail email addresses, a sob story or too busy to come and see the car, or working offshore etc, and broken English. Offering more than the asking price is a frequent come on. Most recently, they've even found a way to run their scam through PayPal, which is also explained on the Cars on Line site. It's a useful 10 minute read before you list a car on an internet site. The site may be quite legit, but these scammers still try to exploit them. They seem to originate in Nigeria and Russia because of lax laws and/or enforcement, although they use American names and area codes in US states.
