[Chrysler300] F gererator mount question

Just finished parting a 60 Saratoga 383 RB that had been sitting for years
.

When removing the generator/mount/exh mfld, I noticed the mount (bracket
that fastens to the mfld)

Was obviously cad plated when new. Can this be??? And would it be correct
for an F.

This car had been sitting since '68 and I could see where there was evidence
of black paint between the two parts when

Separated.
