Herein lies the problem; removal of the glass (which is crimped into the metal housing) usually [I am told] will destroy the housing or the mirror or both. I have a couple myself I would like to re-silver if anyone knows of a solution.

I want to send my 1962 mirror off for resilvering, though I need to remove the glass from its housing first.....
