RE: [Chrysler300] Convertible Tops

Okay, just curious as to what does everyone agree to put in the reservoir for fluid?

A. Mineral Hydraulic oil (like floor Jack oil)

B. ATF (type A)

C. ATF (type F)

D. Brake Fluid (NON silicone)

-OR-

E. Liquid Chicken Fat?

Hi Ron,
You can purchase a rebuild kit from convertibleparts.com . Here is the link to their kit.
http://store.convertibleparts.com/pmprestkit.html

The kit sells for $ 23.10. A lot less than buying a new pump. It was easy to do. Just take apart, clean everything and re-assemble. The kit I received came with the 2 check valve ball bearings but did not come with the tiny ball bearing that hold the impeller on the shaft. Be careful when you remove the impeller. Do Not loose the tiny ball bearing.

Good Luck and happy 300'ing,

Hello, everyone:

After searching for suppliers on the web for some time and getting bleary-eyed,
I thought that some member of the club help out. I am looking for cylinder/motor
repair kits and hydraulic hoses for a '64 C body convertible top. I have the
motor mounts from Goers, but need the seals, o-ings, etc. as I plan on doing the
rebuild myself. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Ron Kurtz
